Tip of the Day: Know Your Budget, and be honest about it!

When I first started meeting with vendors, I hadn’t sat down and really thought about a budget. (Big mistake) some of the worst, unproductive meetings happened when I didn’t know what we were willing to spend. After the first couple of fails we figured it out, let me tell you about a good experience… When we met with our now florist (Preston Flowers in Cary), Candy the designer asked about our budget, once we told her she was able to show us exactly what she could do with it! She showed us the flowers we wanted and gave us visual examples! It was one of the best meetings we had! I know for me it felt awkward the first couple of vendors we met with but it sure made life easier!
