Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ Becomes First Album By A Black Female Artist To Spend 500 Weeks On Billboard 200 Chart

On Sunday (November 30), Rihanna celebrated a historic milestone as her album, Anti, became the first record by a Black female solo artist to spend 500 nonconsecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, ranking No. 134 on the Dec. 6 chart. Despite not putting out a full album since Anti was released in January 2016, the critically acclaimed LP, featuring hits like the Grammy-nominated “Work” and “Needed Me,” continues to resonate widely. Rihanna responded to the achievement on X with the joyous message, “God ain’t forget bout me!” In addition to marking this music milestone, Rihanna also took to X earlier that same day to honor her home country, Barbados, on its 59th Independence anniversary and its 4th year as a republic, congratulating its new president, Jeffrey Bostic, and the leadership of Prime Minister Mia Mottley. “Barbados I  L🇧🇧VE  YOU!!!!,” she wrote, alongside tranquil photos of her homeland.
