An obscure remix of Was (Not Was)’s 1983 track, “Shake Your Head,” features a rare duet between Ozzy Osbourne and a pre-fame Madonna, whose vocals were initially recorded but then withheld from the official release, replaced by Kim Basinger’s instead. Ozzy’s son Louis Osbourne (from the metal legend’s first wife, Thelma Riley), revealed on his half-brother Jack Osbourne’s Trying Not to Die podcast that Madonna’s approval was never granted for the original release, leading to Basinger’s version being used. Years later, producer Don Was discovered Ozzy and Madonna’s vocal tracks and created a remix blending their voices for a 1992 compilation, Now Dance 92.
