Drake Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200, Knocking Kendrick Off Top Spot

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s first collaborative album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, debuts at No. 1 on this week’sBillboard 200 chart. It’s the first chart-topper for PARTYNEXTDOOR, and the fourth Top 10 record of his career. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U is the 14th career No. 1 album for Drake, among 17 total Top 10s, as the Canadian rap superstar ties Jay-Z and Taylor Swift for the most No. 1s among solo artists in the 69-year history of the Billboard 200 chart. Only The Beatles, with 19 No. 1s, have more. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U knocks Kendrick’s Lamar’s GNX off the top spot, as it falls to No. 3 this week, marking the first time Lamar and Drake have ever swapped the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet jumps five spots to No. 2 following the release of the Deluxe Edition, SZA’s SOS falls two spots to No. 4, Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos slides down a spot to No. 5, The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow descends three places to No. 6, Chappell Roan’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess drops two slots to No. 7, Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard and Soft falls two spots to No. 8, Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time dips one slot to No. 9, and Lamar’s DAMN. drops a spot to No. 10.
