During his appearance at Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival at Dodger Stadium on Saturday night (November 22), Donald Glover revealed publicly for the first time that he suffered a stroke during his 2024 New World Tour which caused him to cancel the remainder of his Childish Gambino dates. “I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway. I couldn’t really see well,” Glover recalled onstage during his Gambino set. “So when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital, and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke.’” Doctors also discovered that the musician had a hole in his heart alongside a broken foot. “So, I had this surgery, and then I had to have another surgery,” he shared, which ultimately led to the cancellation of the remainder of his 2024 tour in order to focus on his health.
