50 Cent Produced New Netflix Documentary Series About Longtime Nemesis Sean “Diddy” Combs

50 Cent, a longtime nemesis of Sean “Diddy” Combs, serves as executive producer on the new four-part Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which is set to premiere on December 2. The series will explore Combs’ life, career, and recent criminal trial stemming from abuse allegations by his ex, Cassie Ventura, leading to his current prison sentence for prostitution-related charges. Directed by Emmy Award-winner Alexandria Stapleton, the series features new interviews and unseen material, aiming to reflect on celebrity idolization rather than focusing solely on Combs’ criminal case. “Ultimately, this story is a mirror [reflecting us] as the public, and what we are saying when we put our celebrities on such a high pedestal,” Stapleton says of the project, while adding, “I hope [this documentary] is a wake-up call for how we idolize people, and to understand that everybody is a human being.” Combs is appealing his conviction amid reports of efforts to seek a presidential pardon, which 50 Cent has vowed to oppose.
