NC in Phase 2 until Sept. 11

NC Gov. Roy Cooper extends Phase Two of coronavirus restrictions into September.

Gov. Roy Cooper announced that Phase 2 of NC’s reopening plan will be extended until at least Sept. 11, keeping coronavirus restrictions in place through the Labor Day weekend.

Cooper said health experts need that additional five weeks to look at trends as schools, both universities and K-12 grades, reopen in the next week or so.
