Downtown Raleigh showcases its art, music and food at their monthly gallery walk. Dozens of venues will be hosting art receptions. You’ll also find lots of deals on food and drinks. Visit the First Friday Raleigh website for a map of participating venues.
Bands, Bites and Boats at Bond Park
Friday, September 7

Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Road, Cary
One Friday a month, From April to October, the Bond Park Boathouse plays host to musicians, food trucks and after-hours boat rentals. This year they’ve added “brew” to the mix. Each month they’ll features beer from a local brewery.
Enjoy the music while floating on the lake, or bring a lawn chair and enjoy it on land. The line-up for this Friday is music by Ed Stephenson, food from Napoli Pizza and beer from Brüeprint.
Flashback Friday Concert Series
Friday, August 3
6 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Crossroads Plaza, US Hwy 1 & I-40, Cary
Flashback Fridays Concert Series takes place in the outdoor food court area of Crossroads Plaza in Cary. It features throwback tunes from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The band this Friday is Liquid Pleasure. There will also be free face painting for kids, and a bounce house. Next month is the last one for this music series.

Saturday, September 8: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday, September 9: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Hopscotch Music Festival features more than 120 bands playing in tons of venues across Raleigh. In addition to the ticketed shows there’s a huge list of free Day Parties. To find them all, look at the Hopscotch website. Especially, check out the Day Party Block Party on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fayetteville Street. There will be live music from Wild Child, Israel Nash and more, plus a Makers Market and much more.
