3rd Annual Zombie Palooza
Friday, October 26th | 7pm
The Cary Theater, 122 E. Chatham Street, Cary
Zombiepalooza will feature local filmmakers’ zombie short films on a huge outdoor screen downtown. Dress as your favorite horror film character, or channel your inner zombie rebel! Neighboring bars and restaurants will be open, and there will be Twinkies for everyone to help create a downtown Zombieland.
Halloween ComicFest
Saturday, October 27th | Many comic book stores
On Saturday, comic book stores across the country are participating in Halloween ComicFest and giving away free comic books. Some are also having additional activities, like costume contests and sketch artists. Visit HalloweenComicFest.com to see which comic book stores are participating.
River Park Concert, featuring The Wood Brothers
Saturday, October 27th | 11:30am
Downtown River Park, 106 E. Margaret Lane, Hillsborough
The Wood Brothers headline this free concert, which also includes Seth Walker, Shoaldiggers and Walker Family Band. There will be a Young Musicians Workshop, and local artists.
FallFest at Dix Park
Saturday, October 27th | 11am to pm
Dix Park, 2105 Umstead Drive, Raleigh
The inaugural FallFest at Dix Park includes free pony rides, free hayrides, free pumpkins and free music by Milagro Saints and Counterclockwise String Band. There will also be free inflatables, lawn games, face painting and more. Just bring money for food and drink.
Durham Bulls Fall Fan Fest
Saturday, October 27th | 5pm to 8pm
Durham Bulls Athletic Park, 409 Blackwell Street, Durham
Every fan at the Fall Fan Fest will be entered into a raffle to win tickets to Hamilton. There will also be “Suites and Treats,” where fans can trick-or-treat on the club level and receive candy from different luxury suites. Also enjoy hayrides around the playing field, costume contests for kids and adults, an inflatable obstacle course, and photo ops with the Governors’ Cup Trophy.
