Pecan Pickin’ Month at Historic Oak View County Park

Any time Historic Oak View County Park is open in November, you’re welcome to come by and gather some pecans that have fallen from the trees in Wake County’s largest pecan grove. The rules: Only pick pecans that have fallen from the trees. Only fill up a lunchbag sized bag. Don’t do dumb stuff like climbing the trees, throwing things at the trees, or harming the trees.
