The mayor of Cary will flip the switch to start the Parkside Town Commons holiday season. He’ll light the Christmas Tree and Menorah. There will be trackless train rides, music, face painting, bounce houses, and, of course, Santa.

All November, until pecans are gone.

All November, you’re welcome to collect pecans that have fallen from the trees in Oak View County Park’s pecan grove. You can fill up one lunch bag size bags. No climbing trees. And when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Bull Moon Rising is an installation of Museum of the Moon, a huge spherical replica of the moon, which is hanging over CCB Plaza. There will be several special events with this installation, including a community dinner with food trucks, performances, a dance party and yoga. Check the Facebook page, as some additional activities might be added, since the Thursday night festivities had to be canceled due to weather.
