Hillsborough Art Walk

The last Friday of every month, rain or shine, Downtown Hillsborough showcases its art scene with the Last Fridays Art Walk from 6pm to 9pm. Explore art galleries, artist studios, fine jewelers, boutique shops and award-winning restaurants. The activity takes place mostly on and around Churton Street, between West Margaret Lane and West Queen Street. You can find a map and information on each participating venue on Hillsborough Arts Council’s website.

Final Friday Cary Art Crawl

Downtown Cary

Once a month on the last Friday, Cary showcases its artists and musicians at the Final Friday Cary Art Crawl. Art galleries stay open later, and there are live performances at the entertainment hubs. Visit the website for a map.

North Carolina Book Festival

February 22nd-24th | Various times

The North Carolina Book Festival features readings, panels, demonstrations and lectures, showcasing both traditional and non-traditional genres such as comic books and graphic novels. The festival will also include a book fair, where guests can shop for books from local authors, presses and vendors. Although the event is free, tickets are required for some of the event and are subject to selling out.

Venues include CAM Raleigh, Kings, Neptune’s Parlour, Quail Ridge Books and more.

The Durham YMCA is bringing a high-intensity outdoor boot camp to breweries around the Triangle. Bring a yoga mat and water. The workout is free. The after-workout beer is on you.

Seeing Science Fair
