‘I’m just so happy’: Sweet Sibling Photo Goes Viral

Aww! Such a special moment!

Aundrea Smith captured a beautiful moment at her daughter’s Pre-K graduation.

Her son, Derek, hugged his little sister, Charlee, and let her know how proud he was of her. The two began to cry.

#feelgoodfriday Today my daughter graduated from Pre-K. After the ceremony my son walked up to her and gave her a hug. “I’m just so proud of you” he said. Then of course my daughter started crying. As we wiped away our tears, my husband asked her, “Pumpkin, why are you crying?” She responded, “I’m just so happy.” We are so blessed. ✨Tag someone below who is a blessing in your life. Let them know how much they mean to you. And if you can’t tag them call them, text them, or write them a letter. It’s important that we share joy. . . . #blackownedbusiness #blackboyjoy #blackgirlmagic #childrensbooks #teachersofig #teachersofinsta #children #education #privateschool #teachersofinstagram #educators #positiveblackimages #blackentrepreneur #blacklivesmatter #positivemovement #womenentrepreneurs #diversity #peopleofcolor

Aundrea posted the picture on Instagram and it went viral, receiving almost 25,000 likes!

“Everybody was crying around them,” Smith told USA TODAY. “I just posted it to say, ‘Oh, look at the kids, they had this great moment together.’ I just wanted to share it. I was not expecting it to take off like it did at all.”

Smith said many people have reached out about the “positive moment” she shared. “It’s quite overwhelming, to be honest,” Smith said. “But it’s great. I’m happy that a positive moment is out there and that my kids can be the joy that people are experiencing. That feels good.”
