Durham Ranks 7th on Best Run Cities in America

WalletHub’s latest ranking, 2018’s Best- and Worst-Run Cities in America, found Nampa, Idaho, has the strongest operating efficiency, followed by Provo, Utah, and Boise, Idaho, at No. 2 and 3, respectively.

The list assessed 150 of the most populated cities nationwide by comparing the services residents receive against the city’s total budget. A “quality of services” score was calculated according to 35 metrics related to the categories of financial stability; education; health; safety; economy; and infrastructure and pollution. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale. Check out the top cities:

1. Nampa, Idaho
2. Provo, Utah
3. Boise, Idaho
4. Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky
5. Missoula, Montana
6. Sioux Falls, South Dakota
7. Durham, North Carolina
8. Lewiston, Maine
9. Nashua, New Hampshire
10. Oklahoma City
