Hillsborough Art Walk

Friday, April 27

6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Downtown Hillsborough

The last Friday of every month, rain or shine, Downtown Hillsborough showcases its art scene with the Last Fridays Art Walk from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Explore art galleries, artist studios, fine jewelers, boutique shops and award-winning restaurants. The activity takes place mostly on and around Churton Street, between West Margaret Lane and West Queen Street. You can find a map and information on each participating venue on Hillsborough Arts Council’s website. Also at the event will be a free concert by the Castaways.

 

Chocolate Extravaganza

Saturday, April 28

12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Southern Season, at University Place, 201 S Estes Dr, Chapel Hill

Southern season will host more than 10 of the finest chocolatiers. Taste an array of truffles, chocolate bars, candy, toffee and more. Also Jelly Bellies.

 

Six Sundays in Spring

Sunday, April 29

5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

E. Carroll Joyner Park Amphitheater at 701 Harris Rd. in Wake Forest

This Sunday is the first of the Six Sundays in Spring, a free concert series in Wake Forest. You can bring a picnic and blanket or lawn chair. The band this time is The Connells.

 

Pop-PupAlooza Dog Park at Dix Park

Sunday, April 29

12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Dix Park Athletic Field, 801 Biggs Drive, Raleigh

This is the first Pop-PupAlooza Dog Park at Dix Park. Dogs will be allowed off leash in this 4-acre area. There will be a small dog area too. There will be pet-related vendors, food trucks for humans and some lawn games, as well as raffles every half hour.
