Meet Carl, a strikingly handsome pup with a big heart. He arrived a bit underweight, but is ready to thrive in a loving home. Once comfortable, Carl will charm you with playful antics and a fun-loving spirit. Carl enjoys walks (and may try to lead!) and is working on his treat manners. In playgroups, he’s happy and adaptable—sharing bouncy play with energetic friends or calmly strolling alongside gentler companions. He offers polite greetings and shows respect for other female dogs. Carl would prefer to be the only male dog in the home. With guidance and love, Carl will be a joyful, well-rounded companion.
Although Carl is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. The Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. Email HealaHeart@outlook.com for more information.
Carl is already neutered and up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, is microchipped and is ready to go home. If you have cats or dogs, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
