Edwin has a calm presence and is a pleasure to walk and hang out with. He seems to really like to sniff as he goes out for walks.
In playgroups, Edwin initially came in a little too frisky, but—once corrected—he shifted gears beautifully and started offering adorable play bows instead. Paired with the right confident canine friend, Edwin revealed himself to be super cute, silly, and happy just to join in the fun.
During an outing with a volunteer, Edwin enjoyed an hour and a half walk through Dorthea Dix Park. He is a world class sniffer of grass and is very easy to walk. He is raring to go out of his kennel and the car, but is a very chill dude once the walk gets going. He even got comfortable enough to do a few back rolls on the grass. He is not much on treats; he loves chomping his teeth over the grass, taking in all the smells. He seemed interested in the other dogs walking and was unfazed by all the passersby. Edwin also did not show reactivity on the leash. When the volunteer had to take a break and sit down for a bit, Edwin stood—ready to continue walking. Edwin is a very energetic senior dog and is quite compact at 45 pounds. He and his bat ears are easy to love!
Edwin is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time.
