This Soup Has Been Cooking for 45 years

This Soup Has Been Cooking for 45 years

WHAT! 45 YEARS?!?!

In Bangkok, a restaurant named ‘Wattana Panich’ has been using the same broth for soup for 45 years! The soup is called ‘neua tune.’

Nattapong Kaweenuntawong tends to the soup explaining, “For 45 years, the broth of our soup has never been thrown away after a day’s cooking” and says the broth has a “unique flavor and aroma.”

“We have kept the broth overnight, and then used it to cook the next day’s soup,” he adds.

The soup is safe to eat, and by the end of the day the majority of the pot is gone, with only some broth remaining. That will then be used to start the next batch and help with creating flavor.
