6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Locations in Chapel Hill and Carrboro

The second Friday of every month, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., head to Chapel Hill and Carrboro for an ArtWalk. Experience live music, food, activities, hands-on art demonstrations, discounts, live music and more. Download a map to help make sure you don’t miss anything. 27 venues are highlighted on the map.

 

The Fifth Triangle Russian Festival

Saturday, February 9

11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Halle Cultural Arts Center, 237 N. Salem Street, Apex

Experience Russian music, dance, food, children’s activities, Russian and Armenian dance workshops, more. The festival is free, but there is a $10 charge for the 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. shows.

 

Hillsborough Classic Film Society

Saturday, February 9

3 p.m.

Orange County Public Library, 137 W. Margaret Lane, Hillsborough

The Hillsborough Classic Film Society is a group that meets once a month or so to show a remastered classic film. On Saturday they’re showing “In the Heat of the Night.” There will be a discussion by an expert to set the scene, and free popcorn.

Enjoy a free evening of storytelling inside the old Bynum General Store.
