This is the first of the monthly Friday Night on White events in downtown Wake Forest. Have a beer from White Street Brewing Co., enjoy a free concert by Bull City Syndicate and grab dinner from one of the many food trucks.

 

2nd Friday ArtWalk in Chapel Hill and Carrboro

Friday, June 8

6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Locations in Chapel Hill and Carrboro

The second Friday of every month, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., head to Chapel Hill and Carrboro for an ArtWalk. Experience live music, food, activities, hands-on art demonstrations, discounts, live music and more. PLAYlist Concert Series

Friday, June 8

6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Durham Central Park, 501 Foster Street, Durham

Durham Central Park’s summer concert has expanded to 10 weeks, and has a new name, PLAYlist. It kicks off tonight with Gabriel Garzón-Montano. Buy dinner from food trucks and grab a beer from Durty Bull Brewing Company.

 

Raleigh International Food Festival

Saturday, June 9

3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

City Plaza, 400 Block of Fayetteville Street, Raleigh

Raleigh International Food Festival celebrate’s Raleigh’s diverse community and welcoming spirit through international food, music and dance. While you try to decide if you want to buy food from Brazil, Lebanon, Italy, or Jamaica (to name a few), enjoy reggae music from Crucial Fyia, as well as belly dancers, hip hop, Bollywood and much more. There will also be kids’ activities, and international beer and wine for purchase.

 

Pimento Cheese Festival

Saturday, June 9

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Academy Street, between Dry Avenue and Waldo Street, Cary

It’s time to celebrate pimento cheese. Food trucks will be selling new dishes featuring pimento cheese, and several downtown restaurants will be giving out free pimento cheese samples. If that’s not enough you can compete in a pimento cheese sculpting contest. There will be live music in Cary’s Downtown Park.
