Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ Earns Record 17th Week Atop Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay Chart

Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ Earns Record 17th Week Atop Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay Chart

Miley Cyrus‘ “Flowers” has earned a 17th week atop Billboard‘s Adult Pop Airplay Chart, hitting the top spot on the list dated July 8 to achieve the longest reign for a song by a woman in the chart’s history.

“Flowers,” which featured on Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation album, arrived via Smiley Miley/Columbia Records. The song has now moved past Avril Lavigne‘s “Complicated,” which ruled for 16 weeks beginning in August 2002.

Among all acts, “Flowers” ties for the sixth-longest Adult Pop Airplay leader.

“Flowers” ruled the all-genre, multi-metric Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks. The song has ranked in the chart’s top five over its entire run so far and is placed at No. 4 on the July 8-dated survey.
