Rapper and producer J. Cole has announced that his Dreamville Festival will return for its second edition next year.
The two-day Dreamville Festival is scheduled to take place on April 2-3, 2022. It will take place at Dorothy Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carloina. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET at DreamvilleFest.com and Ticketmaster.
The 2019 edition of the Dreamville Fest was attended by more than 40,000 people and featured performances from SZA, 6LACK, Big Sean, Nelly and more. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the pandemic.
“It’s exciting to finally be back. Ever since we wrapped our first fest, we’ve been waiting to get back to the park with our Dreamville family,” said Adam Roy, Dreamville partner and festival president, in a statement.
“We had to come back bigger and better than before. With the fest moving to two days, Dreamville Festival is about to become the festival our team has always dreamt about,” he added. “We want this to grow into one of the premier annual music experiences in the country.”
Meanwhile, Cole dropped his most recent album, The Off-Season on May 14. The album is a follow-up to the rapper’s 2018 record KOD, as well as his 2019 Dreamville compilation Revenge of The Dreamers III.
