Halsey slammed Tory Lanez for his attempt to profit through an album featuring his controversial alleged attack on Megan Thee Stallion.
The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, had alleged in July that it was fellow hip-hop star Lanez who shot her in the feet after a party in the Hollywood Hills.
Lanez, 28, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. He was released later on a $35,000 bail. The case is posted for hearing in court in October.
The Canadian rapper released last week a 17-track album, Daystar. In the lead track, titled “Money Over Fallouts,” he says, “Gotta see a couple questions: how the f**k you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons?”.
“Megan people tryna frame me for a shootin’…Knowin’ I ain’t do it but I’m comin’ at my truest,” he alleges in the song.
Daystar reached No. 1 on US Apple Music, but Halsey was not at all impressed by it.
“I’m sorry but I really can’t believe whoever is listening to this and letting this man speak on and profit off of his violence towards someone we know and love,” she wrote on Twitter.
