That cover followed up her hometown tribute to New York City during the first show of her four-night stand at MSG on Wednesday (September 17), where the three-time Grammy winner honored another NYC legend, Alicia Keys, by covering her Grammy-winning Billboard No. 1 hit, “No One.” Lipa upped the ante during her Saturday night show at MSG by bringing out Nile Rodgers to perform Chic’s “Le Freak,” the legendary New York funk band’s chart-topping 1978 disco classic. These tributes join the other iconic covers Lipa has performed on her international tour, which also includes honoring the likes of Aerosmith, AC/DC, Lorde, the Beatles, and Sinead O’Connor by performing their hits in their hometowns.
